Is Your Skin Starving?

Dear Beauty Conscious Reader,

Here’s something you won’t hear from your dermatologist. If you want the best-looking skin possible, you need to make sure you get enough of one overlooked nutrient. It’s the essential fatty acid gamma-linolenic acid (GLA).

Unfortunately for us, we can’t make GLA in our bodies. We have to get it from outside sources. And it’s not called “essential” for nothing. Your body has to have it to help maintain your largest organ – your skin.

Your skin uses GLA to:

• Keep your skin cells fluid
• Help your body maintain and repair its barrier function
• Decrease water loss
• improve your skin’s moisture levels
• supports the skin’s immune health

One study gave people GLA supplements, and after two months, their skin was losing 10 percent less water. Also, over 30 percent of the people had some kind of skin irritation before the study, and after two months, none did. Plus, GLA reduced dry skin by 30 percent.1

In another study, adults were given GLA and their skin health improved in every way tested. Skin moisture, water loss, elasticity, firmness, fatigue resistance and roughness were all “significantly improved,” according to the researchers.2

And there’s one more thing I bet your dermatologist never told you: GLA also promotes proper inflammatory response in the body.

GLA also reduces the inflammation caused by the sun’s UV light. A well-known Scandinavian study showed people who took GLA supplements significantly reduced the effect UV light had on their skin.3

The problem is that right now, you probably don’t have enough GLA in your body. Processed foods, refined sugars and grains that make up much of the modern diet don’t give you enough, if any, essential fatty acids.

And even if you get enough GLA through your food, your age and the environment are ganging up on your ability to use GLA in your body.

That’s because as we get older, our bodies aren’t very good at breaking down GLA so it can do what it does best – moisturize, support the regeneration of skin cells and promote proper inflammatory response.

And toxins in the air are constantly attacking your skin causing water loss, dryness and even rough patches. Even drinking moderate amounts of alcohol, which has health benefits, can block your body from properly using GLA.

That’s why I’ve developed a way to give your skin all the GLA it needs to protect your skin cells and help your skin stay hydrated.

Most cosmetic products seem to want to improve your skin’s “appearance.” They talk about temporary fixes for skin elasticity, tone and texture. But with Radiance, you can build better, healthier skin from the inside out.

That’s because Radiance isn’t a cream, lotion, serum, or spray. It simply gives you your GLA, from the inside, that your skin needs to keep it moisturized and help protect it from our harsh environment.

There are also two added ingredients in Radiance that will provide other important nutrients your skin needs.

The first is Sea Buckthorn oil. A funny name, but don’t worry, there are no thorns here. Sea Buckthorn oil is also rich in GLA, but I added it to Radiance because it also has palmitoleic acid. This is one of the main components of your skin’s adipose tissue. This layer of skin regulates your body’s temperature, so it’s important to keep it healthy. But it also gives your skin all its energy so it can absorb shock and stay resilient.

Sea Buckthorn oil has another bonus, though – lots of vitamin C, vitamin K, carotene, flavonoids, and minerals including iron, zinc, calcium, manganese, selenium and iodine.**

I also added hyaluronic acid (HA) to Radiance. Your body makes plenty of HA when you’re young, but as you age, the amount of HA available to maintain full, healthy skin decreases.

Without HA, you lose volume in your skin. And suddenly, wrinkles and fine lines appear. That’s because HA can absorb 1,000 times its weight in water. And when your skin has enough HA, all that water helps to keep your skin smooth, supple and help reduce the amount of wrinkles.

HA also acts as a carrier … that means it will help Radiance penetrate into the deepest layers of your skin from the inside.

Good skin is one of the most noticeable features you can have. It’s what other people notice about you first … so why not “put your best face forward?” Radiance makes it easy.

Radiance is a natural way to keep a fresh, taut face and project a clean, warm glow from the inside out. And the best part is, it’s risk-free. If you’re not satisfied, I’ll refund your money no questions asked. It’s that simple.
