Orcas Secret to Anti-Aging Skin

Just off the coast of South Africa, a colossal battle is going on for one of the most important anti-aging breakthroughs of the decade.

orcas
Sharks have gone from hunters to the hunted… all for the miracle oil inside their lives.

And it’s happening between two of the most fearsome rulers of the deep sea… Great white sharks and orcas.

Usually sharks are the predators, but lately orcas are hunting them.

And they only want one thing…

You see, all the sharks were missing their livers. They were removed with almost surgical precision.

I can see why orcas want this valuable organ. Most people don’t realize that sharks hold the key to healthy, ageless skin.

A shark’s liver contains a rare oil that helps their skin survive the harsh conditions of the deep ocean. It’s a type of fat called squalene.

Squalene is also found in almost every cell of your body, especially your skin cells. Sebum — your body’s natural skin lubricant and conditioner — is rich in this oil. The problem is you start to lose it when you hit your 20s.

But scientists recently discovered that squalene can be naturally stabilized. It’s called squalane (with an “a”).

The anti-aging benefits of squalene — once out of reach for most women — are now available to everyone. And that’s great news, because this oil may be one of your most powerful allies in your fight against the effects of aging.

Now here’s why you need to harness this shark secret to youthful skin — its “1-2-3 punch.”

First, squalene is a natural moisturizer. It lubricates your skin’s surface, healing chapped or cracked skin and eczema. It also helps revitalize damaged hair, dry scalp and brittle nails.

Next, it forms a protective barrier to your skin’s surface. That locks in moisture and prevents your skin from losing water.

Finally, squalene has powerful antioxidants. They accumulate in your skin protecting it from the sun’s UV radiation. They also absorb free radicals and deactivate them.

That helps prevent skin damage like age spots, fine lines and wrinkles that give away your age. Studies have shown it’s as powerful as BHT, an antioxidant chemical used in many cosmetics.1

This rare oil is easily absorbed and leaves your skin soft and supple with no greasy residue. It also helps prevent the growth of harmful microorganisms by creating a protective antibacterial coating on your skin.2

In other words, if you wanted to invent a perfect anti-aging cream for your skin, you’d get something very much like squalane.

The 3 Best Ways to Get Squalene at Home

  1. Eat more olives. The Mediterranean diet has long been credited for its health benefits and for supporting a long lifespan, largely due to the number of olives and quantity of olive oil that Mediterranean people consume.Olive oil, if you find a high quality, cold-pressed product, is a healthy source of fat and nutrients. You can cook with it, but it’s better used cold. I love the flavor for salads. As it turns out, olive oil is also a great source of squalene. In fact, for a while, it was thought to be the only vegetable source of this powerful nutrient, and it is on the higher end of the scale.
  1. Try supplementing. Shark liver oil and squalene are both available in supplements. Taking 500 mg per day is safe and can normalize your cholesterol levels.3You can find it at most health stores or online. Be sure to read labels carefully before you buy. Ingredients are listed on product labels in the order of what it includes the most of, so be sure squalane is one of the first items listed.
  1. Use it on your skin. Squalane is already being used in some sunscreen products and acne creams… as well as in vaccines. With so many anti-aging properties, you can expect to see it cropping up in more soon. But some products contain very little squalane — as little as 1/10th of 1%. I doubt you’ll get much benefit from such tiny amounts. One way to ensure you get the right amount is to make your own serum.  Here’s what I suggest:

Squalene serum recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon squalene
  • 5 drops rose essential oil
  • 1 drop evening primrose oil

Directions:

  1. Mix together in a glass bowl.
  1. Moisturize with 5-8 drops every morning and night.
