Pamper the Sexiest Part of Your Body

Dear Beauty Conscious Reader,

“Aren’t they just the sexiest part of the body?”

I overheard this intriguing comment in my office. Then …

“Not just sexy… almost erotic. My guy loves it when they’re really soft and smooth. And he can always tell when I’ve had them done because that’s when I pull out my sundresses and strappy sandals. I just love showing them off.”

Can you guess what the topic of conversation was?

They were talking about their feet.

These women went on to tell me they love to pamper this part of their body. And with spring weather right around the corner, there’s no better time to get your feet sandal-ready than now. Here’s what to do…

1. Soak. Fill a large basin – or even the bathtub – with warm water. Soak your feet for a good 10 minutes to loosen the dried skin. If you have a foot roller, place it in the bottom of the basin and roll your feet over it for a nice massaging effect.

2. Wash. Once the dry skin has loosened, wash your feet with a natural cleanser that contains plenty of antioxidants, and use a nail brush on your toenails to get rid of embedded dirt and discoloration.

3. Exfoliate. Now that your feet are soft and clean, it’s time to exfoliate. You can use a pumice stone or foot paddle. You don’t want to leave your feet raw, so gently rub the stone over the bottoms of your feet. If you have a very large buildup, it may take several at-home pedicures before you get it all off. If that’s the case, wait at least four days between pedicures.

4. Moisturize. After exfoliation, dry your feet thoroughly and liberally and apply a rich, soothing moisturizer

After moisturizing your feet thoroughly, throw on a pair of socks to keep them clean and moist. When you wake up the next day, your feet will feel soft, smooth and ready for your favorite sandals.
